How to use a smartphone to find your parked car and bike

Do you always have trouble remembering the place exactly you've gotten parked your car and bike inside a shopping complex? Google Maps might help you remember your parked car and bike location and also navigate (find) you to use a smartphone.

Using Google Maps, you can pin the location of your car and bike parking places and ask Google Assistant to find your car or just tap on the pin to start out the navigation. iOS users can do the same using Apple Maps. Let’s find out how.

Pre-requisites:

• The newest version of Google Maps and Google app
• Smartphone working Android Marshmallow or above/ iOS 10 or above.
• Enable location services.
• Google Assistant should have access to all of the required permissions.

Save the parking location (smartphone find parked car)

First, you will need to save the parking location. Open Google Maps in your phone after you're parked and tap in your current location which is represented by the Blue Pin on the map. Tapping on it can bring three choices, select the Save Your Parking option. Here you can also add more details such as parking numbers, pictures of the parking, and more.

Alternatively, you may ask Google Assistant to remember your parking location by saying Remember the place I have parked.

Navigate to the parking location

Open Google Maps and tap on the Saved parking card. Now, tap on the Direction button after which tap on the Start button to turn on the navigation.
Alternatively, you can simply ask Google Assistant Where’s my car and it'll show you the car parking location.
